American Fork, UT has been growing rapidly since the 1970s, but its history goes as far back as World War II when it became the site of the Columbia Steel Plant. It actually has many claims to fame – but an interesting fact that few people know is that it provided the background for several scenes for the 1984 movie “Footloose” starring Kevin Bacon.
