Sheltering about 20,000 residents, Niles, Ohio is a quaint city located in Trumbull County. The town’s economy mostly focused on iron manufacturing and steel and glass production. Niles’ foundation dates back to 1806 when it was initially called as Heaton’s Furnace in honor of its founder, James Heaton. The town later gained the name of Nilestown but was shortened to Niles in 1843. Although initially known for its manufacturing industry, Niles is now home to other establishments such as hotels and recreational centers.
