Its name translates to “facing the wind” or “wind in face” in Karankawa, befitting its main industry which is shipping. Known for its famous Boardwalk, there are a lot of bars, parks, and restaurants that you can enjoy, with affordable hotel accommodations that’s sure to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Best Time to Visit
Summer and spring are the busiest seasons in Kemah, so lodging and accommodations tend to be more expensive, particularly from June to August. This is largely due to the comfortable weather, which is perfect for a lot of activities that tourists visit for. Fall and winter offer the lowest rates in Kemah, TX hotels, with the downside of not having as much events scheduled as in warmer months.
