Danville: Home of the Great Vermont Corn Maze
A town in Caledonia County, Danville, Vermont was founded by the Vermont Legislature in 1786. It was named after Jean Baptiste Bourguignon d’Anville, an 18th-century French cartographer. It is where the American Society of Dowsers is currently based.

The best time to visit Danville is during the months of May through September. Peak tourist season is usually from July until September. People are least likely to visit the town in November. Every October, Autumn on the Green is held. It is an award-winning event that celebrates artisans, crafters, cottage industries, and local businesses. The American Society of Dowsers offer free demonstrations during the event. More than 200 vendors participate and offer unique finds. Visitors may enjoy the finest offerings of the state, such as cheese, cider, homemade jams and jellies, maple products, pumpkins, among others. Another exciting event is Danville Fair, which is held every August. People may have fun with the music, food, rides, and many more activities during the celebration.

Danville is home to the Great Vermont Corn Maze. The main maze, known as “Big Maze”, sits on a 24-acre property, with three-mile dirt trails lined with 10-foot tall corn walls. It takes about three (3) hours or so to finish the entire maze. Scenic Maze, on the other hand, can be accomplished in less than an hour. Other attractions at the Great Vermont Corn Maze include Creepy Farm, Dead North, and Pretendin.
