Named also after Júlio Cezar Ribeiro de Souza, Belem International Airport is officially called Belem Val de Cans International Airport. It is situated in Belem, Brazil. The airport was constructed in 1934 and was then known as "Yellow Hangar." Belem Val de Cans International Airport was used to support the transportation of aircraft, equipment, and personnel across the South Atlantic Ocean during World War II. In 1959, the area was then used as a passenger terminal for general airlines. Today, Belen International Airport has served 3 million passengers annually.
