Tivat, Montenegro: The Country’s Smallest Yet Sunniest Town
Located in the central part of the Bay of Kotor, south of mount Vrmac, Tivat is a southern coastal town of Montenegro. Although situated in the smallest municipality, Tivat, Montenegro is attracting tourists due to its geographical position and natural environment. June, followed by July and August are the months which number of tourists is on the highest. Hotels and flights are most expensive during these months, while November is the lowest of tourism. Considering the weather of visit, April 16th to July 8th are the ideal times. Sail Boat regatta is one of the festivals in town, enthusiasts gather in this town every year. Also the Bocarska Olimpijada (Tivat Bowling Olympics) is held every year in Tivat with local participants and from other towns of Montenegro.

Tivat has Porto Montenegro. It is a port in the Kotor Bay. Best yachts in the world can be found in this port. It is such a nice experience taking peek of these watercrafts. The Naval Heritage Museum is another attraction of Tivat. There are 300 exhibits of naval history in the area. A restored Yugoslav submarine can also be found in this museum.
