It was started with just two boutique hotels designed for travelers, in South Queensferry and in Eurocentral. Over the years, the brand expanded with its three establishments in Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester. With Ken McCulloch supervision, Dakota Hotels has garnered various awards over the years such as GQ Magazine 2018 Best Hotel, The Independent 2018 Best in Contemporary Design, The Times Cool Hotel Guide 2013, Jamie Oliver Best Kept Secret Award 2013 and Condé Nast Traveller Hot list 2005.
Each of Dakota Hotels has been designed by Amanda Rosa Interiors, giving a rich and comfortable uncontended luxurious design. With the recent completion of their largest 137-room hotel, the Dakota Deluxe Manchester last, Dakota Hotel officially revealed its desire to expand around United Kingdom specifically in locations such as Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh,the M4-corridor, Manchester Airport, Newcastle, Oxford and Central London.
