Deriving its name from the River Pader and “born” – an ancient German term they called the source of a river, Paderborn, Germany is home to about 200 natural springs. It was a city founded dating back the eighth century and since then has had a long, rich, cultural history. Paderborn is regarded to be one of the prime cities in the country when it comes to the technology industry. Heinz Nixdorf, a German computer pioneer, was born in the city.
