Madeira Beach, A Quiet City Offering a Mad Experience
Fondly called as “Mad Beach,” Madeira Beach, FL is part of Pinellas County. It is located near the Gulf of Mexico on the west and St. Petersburg on the east. As of 2010, the city shelters only about 4,000 residents. The community is mostly residential, although you can find several hotels, restaurants, and entertainment sites here and there.
Best Time to Visit
It is generally hot in the city, but half of the year has fair chances of rain. Late October to late April is the ideal dates for travel when the weather is just right for outdoor activities. If you’re coming into the city, make sure to book your trip in October when Madeira Beach, Florida holds their annual John’s Pass Seafood Festival, which is the second biggest seafood event on the East Coast. January to March are also active months for the city, so expect that most of Madeira Beach, FL hotels are crowded with tourists. To enjoy lower room rates, you can come by in November when the visitor population is the lowest.
