Ramada is an international hotel chain that operates in more than 63 countries all over the world. Since 1953, over 800 hotels under this hotel chain in succession. When it first opened, the hotel was founded by Michael Robinson and a restaurateur, Marion W. Isabel.

The first Ramada Hotel that opened to the public was a 60-room facility in Flagstaff, Arizona. The name “Ramada” was from the Spanish word “rama”, which means “branch”. One of the distinct quirks of Ramada hotels is that each structure adapts architecture that is based from colonial designs.
