Luxury hotel chain St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has a long heritage that dates back to 1904, when John Jacob Astor IV debuted the first St. Regis Hotel in New York City. More than a century after this occasion, St. Regis has flourished to be a global force with approximately 46 hotels and resorts all around the world. Many historic events have taken place in hotel grounds through the years, including the unveiling of Maxfield Parrish’s Old King Cole mural in 1932 and the creation of the now-famous Bloody Mary by St. Regis bartender Fernand Petiot in 1934.
