It may not be known to many that Germany has their old kind of wine. There is also an old German Wine Route along the Southwest of Germany. Many people may not be aware of this but wineries in this old route also produce a very high-quality wine. Along this old route spur many wineries with their own unique flavors. The Bernkastel-Kues, Germany located in Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate is a known winegrowing center of the region. Aside from that, the town is also adept to medical tourism. The town at the foot of the mountain also enjoys a cool temperate oceanic climate- a perfect weather for wine tasting.

Annually, Germany would celebrate its Beerfest. In Bernkastel-Kues, DE, they celebrate the Winefestival of Middle-Moselle. This is an annual wine festival of the town where wines from different origin are available. The town gets more crowded during this season.
What to Do & Area Attractions
Landshut Castle or more known as the Trausnitz Castle is a medieval castle of the Wittelsbach dynasty. Among the many winemakers in town, the most prominent is that of S.A. Prum. They have been making wine since 1156 and their wines are well made. Winery Dr. Loosen is a more commercialized wine but has also been in operation for 200 years.
When in town, stay in Hotel Moselpark and relax. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery and conveniently located near the city center. A more laid-back hotel is the Hotel Zum Josefshof. Both hotels are located near the wine museum and the famous library.
