Situated in Humboldt County, California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport is a non-hub airport for commercial flights in the US. It houses the command center and facilities of the US Coast Guard Air Station Humboldt Bay. Publicly owned by the local government of Humboldt County, it operates on a 745-acre land. It is under the jurisdiction of the California Coastal Commission in Eureka, California.

The US Navy established ACV-California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport during World War II (WWII) to support the Naval Air Station Alameda. It also served as the headquarters of the Eureka section of the naval local defense forces. The airport saw the world’s first blind landing of commercial airline, Southwest Airways, using Instrument Landing System (ILS) in 1946. By the following year, the airline was already able to make 1,200 flights using ILS. The airport has two (2) runways— one measuring 6,046-foot long and another one measuring 4,501-foot long. Today, it only serves one airline, United Express. It has routes going to and from San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Denver. In 2015, the San Francisco route had about 62,000 passengers. This route has three (3) to four (4) flights a day. Meanwhile, the Denver route has nonstop flights since June 2019.
