Waco Regional Airport – ACT Waco
Located in Waco, McLennan County in the state of Texas, Waco Regional Airport was a public airport owned and operated by the city of Waco. The airport was formerly called China Springs Army Airfield then later renamed as Waco Army Airfield. It was initially used as a flying training airfield but after the training has ended it was utilized as Waco Army Airfield’s alternate base but was closed in 1945. During the dispose off process of War Asset Administration, the airfield was sold to the Waco’s city government and since then it caters the aviation needs of the Waco as well as its nearby cities of Bellmead, Elm Mott and Hewitt.
