Pros: The proximity to the beach and natural beauty of the area. The daily yoga sessions were very enjoyable.

Cons: The rooms were poorly laid out, lacked basic security features and provided little separation from the elements. I heard every other nearby guest, staff, animal, and vehicle pass by. This lead to a poor night sleep and overall negative experience.

Pros: Hotel employee is the best! No other way to say it. Everywhere you look there is something magical to see. I love to walk around the property and take photos. Coffee shop is open 24/7, Saturday Night Jungle Parties are epic, and the staff is truly amazing.

Cons: I wish the bar was open a little bit later each night but first world problems, no real complaints -you can always get beer and go to your room from the store or some thing

Cons: Way over-priced for what was being offered. Facility is not well maintained overall; many areas were closed, in dis-repair or under construction. Staff was friendly but no well managed. Took an hour in morning just to get coffee; slow service.

Pros: PAid 600 usd for a jungle pool villa only to get my cousin and his fianc refused entry; bare in mind both have ids and both are mature next thing the doesnt the same night receptionist insists on not giving me keys to my villa but made an employee open the door and leave with the key bare in mind I checked in 8pm and paid 609 whereas the average is 95 for even a better size room. Very disappointed with this decision and experience. The receptionist is using an excuse that I had a female friend over last night which is non of his businesses and believe me when I say I was solo and left 5am that day. Super rude and unprofessional night shift individual I wouldve been so happy if hewasnt serving that dayt

Pros: Beautiful resort situated between jungle and beach. Turtle nesting site which was beautiful, and a spider monkey who lived in the property. Enjoyed swimming in the ocean and looking at the tropical fish in the water.

Cons: Unfortunately the prices have skyrocketed in Tulum, with services decreasing. My partner ordered a 500 MXN peso cocktail (~30USD) at the hotel which was served in a small plastic cup and was bland. There was no available water, only sold for 140 MXN (~$8.20USD). A 10 minute cab ride into town was also 500 MXN peso making it hard to get around. We were not allowed on the beach at night, not even just to sit on the stairs nearby. I feel that at the high price we paid for the room, a higher level of service is required.

Beautiful spot, but unfortunately has seen better days.

Pros: Friendly staff, great location.

Cons: Ive been guest here annually for 8 years and they keep no guest record. For the luxury prices this place charges, you would think they would pay attention to guest history and preferences. Refused to put me in one of the cabanas I requested even though the property I was virtually empty and those were available. They also charged us for an extra person in a cabana that sleeps 4 and there were only 3 of us. The cabana was in rough shape - handle to the front door was broken off completely, the toilet leaked, the mirror in the bathroom was broken, the roof thatching crumbled to the ground every night and leaked rain on the bed. The sargasso seaweed was so bad that we couldnt even get into the water, and the smell and flies from the seaweed buildup on the shore was terrible. I always and exclusively stay here when I come to Tulum and have recommended it to so many of my friends that have also stayed here. The staff is friendly and the food and drinks are good. Unfortunately this wasnt the best of experiences Ive had since coming here since 2015.

Cons: Options for lunch and dinner were limited and over priced. Room needed some maintenance, could be in a better shape. There must be a coffee machine in the Room since the property is so huge it is hard to grab a morning coffee especially if you are an early bird.

Great stay!

Pros: Papaya Playa is a great place with an incredible staff. Yasmin & Esther helped us in all possible ways. The break fast is extensive, with lots of choice in fresh fruits, overnight oat and all kinds of egg. The casita with private roof top pool is truly impeccable and value for money. We had a great stay.
