Slave Lake Airport, (YZH) is a public-use Transport Canada certified Airport that’s just adjacent to Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada. Its operations are handled by Slave Lake Airport Services Commission and located on the southeast shore of Lesser Slave Lake around 150 miles north of Edmonton Alberta and approximately the same distance to Fort McMurray. Because of its location, the airport provides convenient access for all its services to Slave Lake and its neighboring localities. Along with the economic foundation of region in 1960s also came the establishment of the airport.
