Classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada to Torronto, Canada, Buttonville Municipal Airport or Toronto/Buttonville Municipal Airport is operated by Toronto Ltd. and serviced by the Canada Border Services Agency (BSA), which handles general aviation aircrafts. Originally, the airport was just a small airstrip. It grew in 1953 when Leggat Aviation moved its operations. It officially became an airport nine (9) years later.

As it serves the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), it is one of the most accessible airports in the country.
