Peninsula Fine Arts Center (PFAC) is an affiliate of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts; it is an art center offering innovative techniques to discovering, creating, and displaying art to students of all ages. Built by a group of art supporters from Hampton Roads in 1962, the place was first named Peninsula Arts Association and was initially situated in downtown Newport News, Virginia. Every year, PFAC organizes major exhibitions and special events like poetry readings, curator speeches, and art-movie viewings. On top of that, it also offers art classes, distance education, and a range of instructional outreach programs to schools and the community. 

In addition to hosting exhibitions and events, the Peninsula Fine Arts Center encourages children to participate in making artworks at the building’s “hands-on for kids” gallery. Almost five miles from PFAC are Huntington Park and Patrick Henry Mall, which are the other must-visit attractions in Newport News that promise distinct experiences. Just north of the city is Yorktown that is home to the Hampton Roads Iceplex that is a premier ice skating facility in the peninsula.
