The Romantik Hotel has been a household name in high-end guest house accommodations. The hotel chain has 200 branches spread 10 European countries. He managed a farming business in the property which lasted for several generations. In 1470, “Elixhauser” was an entry surname for the farming group. The surname disappeared in 1787 when Theresia Elixhauser married the restaurateur Johann Georg Gmachl.
