Meishan, formerly known as Meizhou or Qingzhou, is a city located in the Sichuan province of China. An administrative organization was first established in the year 496, during the early dynasties. The city is known to be the hometown of Su Dongpo and his two sons, who were notable poets of the Northern Song Dynasty. Geographically, the Minjiang and Qingyi rivers go through the city.
