Kristiansand Airport with airport code KRS is an international airport in the city of Kristiansand, Norway. This is city the fifth largest in Norway. Currently, the airport is operated by Avinor, which is state owned. The city also houses the sole airport for Southern Norway. It is currently serving over a million of passengers. The facility is also being used as a training center for Royal Norwegian Air Force. During the early years of KRS, it is only providing domestic services. The location of the airport has forced the airport to receive international routes until 2004.
