King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia is a public airport that serves the eastern province of the city. DMM-King Fahd Intl. mainly serves the growing urban regions of Qatif, Dhahran, Khobar, Ras Tanura, Jubail and Damman. It is the third major airport in the region and is the hub of Saudia Airlines, SaudiGulf Airlines and flynas. The airport was dedicated after the King of Saudi Arabia, Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who died in 2005.

DMM-King Fahd Intl. was designed back in 1976 and was completed in 1977. However construction began 5 years later in 1983 and was completed, ready for commercial operations more than a decade after in November 1999. It features two asphalt runways, both 4,000 meters long. In 2016, the airport had annual passenger traffic of 9.69 million and served 90,134 aircraft movements and 138,870 tons of cargo. King Fahd International Airport is the largest airport in the world in terms of land area. It features a single terminal with six stories. Levels 3 are for arrivals, level 6 for departures and level 4 for boarding.
