Dandong, China: An Interesting City that Shares Boundaries with North Korea
Formerly called Andong, Dandong is a prefecture-level city in the southeastern province of Liaoning, China. It is situated less than a mile away from Sinuiju, a North Korean settlement. In fact, the two countries are only separated by a narrow Yalu River, which is so close that people could actually see each other's lives from across the border. Dandong, China is connected to North Korea by a bridge named Sino - Korean Friendship Bridge (Yalu Bridge) that serves as the two countries major trading route.
