Al Bateen Executive Airport is the first and only dedicated business jet airport in the MENA or the Middle East and North Africa regions. It is located 6.5 nautical miles southeast of Abu Dhabi city in Abu Dhabi, UAE. It is operated by the Abu Dhabi Airports Company. Al Bateen Executive Airport or AZI Airport first came into use in the year 1960. It was the first main airport of Abu Dhabi city until 1982 when the Abu Dhabi International Airport was opened.
