Great location, very comfortable

Pros: Loved the proximity to the beach! Great location. Loved pool and fitness center!

Cons: Breakfast was an ordeal and took at least an hour. Buffet would be much more efficient!

Pros: it’s a beautiful property, recently renovated, the lobby is gorgeous. We stayed in a king, suite and it was fantastic.

Cons: I think the service is not great. Before we came, we called and emailed the spa and also tried to message the business a couple times without response. We ordered room service and it never came.

I was dissatisfied.

Pros: I liked that they brought chocolate covered strawberries to our room for Valentine’s Day

Cons: The “king suite” was just a regular small room. Was expecting to have a living room with a separate area for bedroom and bathroom. Highly disappointed to pay so much (600$) for such a small room. For 600 at any other hotel at Virginia Beach I could’ve got 2 or 3 actual suites. Also there was no balcony. I understand why but still dissatisfied.

Pros: My husband and I celebrated our mini-honeymoon here and have loved every minute of it. Everyone has been so kind, helpful, and accommodating. They even comped our breakfast!!

Cons: Loud music. Had to be moved. Someone came into my room unauthorized and showered and took alcohol from the mini fridge. Housekeeping didn’t clean my room or do a turn down service. I was charged for restaurant tabs when I didn’t even go to their restaurants.

Pros: I loved the holiday decorations throughout the hotel, gave things such a festive touch! I also loved that all of the staff were so helpful and attentive. Lastly, the SeaHill Spa is amazing! One of the best spas I have ever been to.

Cons: The rooms were clean, but could have been better I terms of some areas were not clean, such as the door mirror. Also, the refrigerator within my room was leaking and not totally functional. There was also black mold that appeared around the ceiling and upper wall vents which is unsafe especially for someone like me who has Asthma and is concerned with air quality. Lastly, the television is very basic and doesn’t even allow casting functions from a cellphone or electronic device so I can watch a streaming service, which should be a common amenity for the nightly cost associated with these room types.

Cons: The first time we went to the Cavalier, we were so impressed with the service and enthusiasm of the staff that it made up for over priced stay. This last time was a disappointment. We carried our own luggage from the car with no help from the staff. The waitress at Becca's didn't know what Grand Marnier was and came to the table with two drinks that looked like margaritas. When we then explained what the after dinner drink was, she came back with a thimble size amount and we were charged $17 for the drink. When it was delivered, we noted how little was in the glass and made a comment and she said "Oh, did you want a double?" We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner and when she showed up with the bottle she noticed there were no glasses, she set the bottle on a ledge behind our table and told us she would be right back. I then saw her delivering food to other tables and walking all over the restaurant. She finally came back with two glasses and made some type of apology. Then the next morning when we were having breakfast I told the waitress that we had paid for breakfast in our room package and she asked where were our vouchers. I went to the check-in area and talked to the person in-charge who went through a series of explanations that made no sense. When they found our vouchers it was for the wrong day. (the morning we checked in and not the morning we checked out, we didn't arrive at the hotel until after 2:00 p.m. on the check-in day). It was my partner's birthday and it was a lot of money for a very mediocre experience. The windows were dirty in our room so that the view of the water was murky and our other room in the suite was facing the parking lot. I had hoped to be pampered because that is what I had experienced the first time.
