    Pros: Very comfortable small hotel in the hills above Lucca.
    Cons: Unfortunately, the chef was sick during our stay and the restaurant was closed for dinner. The reportedly excellent restaurant was a big reason for our booking.

    Pros: as long as you have a car (hard to get taxis), its a great place to spend time to chill. bad place if you want to spend time in the city each day. (just get nice place close by) the woman in the day was knowledgeable and do, so helpful!
    Cons: 1: Arrived and searched 10 minutes for someone to check us in. had to actually yell: Hello? Anyone here? 2: dont pay extra for Mountain View, but had shutters that only open from outside, and then I had a great view of another cottage. A waste. 3: know its not a resort. yes, you can pay extra for yoga or massage, but need to book 1+ days in advance to get someone to drive there.

    One of the most beautiful locations in the world, with friendly non stressed staff.

    Pros: Superb breakfast. friendly staff. peace and quiet.
    Cons: It would have been great if the restaurant had been completely open. The Light suppers were great but a more substantial meal would have been fantastic. But I understand that off season this would have been difficult, we were the only guests.

    We loved the place, we would definitely go back.

    Pros: The staff was very friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was served either inside or on the terrace, depending on the weather. We very much liked the suite we stayed in (the one without the garden).
    Cons: We have originally booked the suite with the garden, but that one was to dark for our taste.

    Pros: This is beautiful property in a great location outside of Lucca. The staff was very attentive kind and helpful with any needs and suggestions. the pool is clean and comfortable and the Aperol spritz are flowing at pool time in the afternoons. Breakfast was great too. We were in town for a wedding at a villa down the street within walking distance.

    Fantastic staff - so charming and helpful, great food and wine and wonderful views !

    Pros: loved the wonderfully helpful staff, the food( albeit limited menu ) was amazing. rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean - only glitch for some guests could be that there were several steps up to the en-suite bathroom - but we loved it there
    Cons: For some guests - the several steps leading up to the en-suite could be an issue
