Super location, clean, quiet, near to restaurants and next days start.
Pros: Location great. On the Camino. Short uphill to the old fort and the way to Tui.
Cons: Halls a bit off putting. Room ok. Breakfast grand. Restaurants nearby. We ate in the Indian restaurant almost next door. Recommend that.

Very good
Pros: A great place to stay on the Camino opposite the fort and not far from the bridge to cross over into Spain. Comfy beds, nice to have a balcony. Great breakfast and nice toiletries. Very good for a reasonable price.
Staff were great, friendly and helpful
Cons: We would have appreciated a kettle and cups in the room to make hot drinks. The room did smell damp and the decor was very dark and dated.
There was a lack of communication between the kitchen and elsewhere. Dinner was advertised on a board as starting at 6pm when it didn't start until 7pm. The restaurant staff then also didn't appear to know what was on the board specials menu either. Nevertheless the woman in the restaurant was super great in spite of language barriers between us and we had a delicious meal in a lovely restaurant overlooking the fort.

A gem in Northern Portugal
Pros: The room decor - I loved the black & brown timber and the Asian motifs. The staff were pleasant and willing to accommodate. I loved this place - what a gem!
Cons: There is nothing to complain about from me. Sometimes the bathroom smells a bit damp when I came back into the room (Ie needed better ventilation), but no biggie.

Passable
Pros: Arrange early check in.
Cons: Booked a room with a mini bar(fridge), hotel did not have one for us. Had to ask for ice, after a day, they ran out of ice. Cold eggs at breakfast. Carpet runner on stairs was loose, causing one of us to trip on the stairs.

Disappointing
Disappointing
Cons: No coffeecups in the room and the receptionist did not know where to find. The hotel/city has a water-issue; we couldn't shower at our arrival. They didn't organize any bootles with water or so. We should eat at the hotels restaurant but the host was very unfriendly and didn't help us, just let us sit for half an hour, so we left and eat manificient at the neighbour.

Average
Pros: Breakfast was adequate. It was in a good location for walking the Camino.
Cons: Room and hotel in general were quite dated. Floors in room were dirty, and toilet moved when you sat on it.

Very Poor
Didnt get there. Maybe another time.
Cons: What I didnt like was that I was unable to cancel even though I phoned well in advance. My partner canceled the whole trip so it was totally beyond my control. I think this was unfair, plus someone else could have used our room.

Pros: We stayed in a Junior Suite, which has lots of space with a separate lounge area and big bedroom. The room was serviced daily, and very clean. There is a small fridge in the loungeroom which might be handy for some - I think other reviews mentioned no fridges in some rooms??
Cons: An old, unrenovated room. The furnishings and decor are not very attractive. The whole suite is very, very dark even with the curtains open. There's a massive balcony all along this room, but no furniture. We appreciate the space and cleanliness, but it wasn't a great experience because of the dull decor and dim appearance.
