Pros: This place has an amazing location right on the ocean. The outdoor dining was delightful. We loved the vintage atmosphere of the hotel.

Nothing is better than a steaming hot shower after dipping in the Pacific ,Fix the plumbing!

Pros: The proximity to the beach is great, the grounds were well kept all of the tables and grounds were washed every morning. The views were magnificent yet a quiet area. The main positive about this area on highway ! is that it is a very small hamlet on the coast with very limited development so not as crowded as other hotels in tourist areas. Apparently all of the rooms have an ocean view and the beds are comfortable but bring your own pillow

Cons: I booked Room number 9 and all was fine except the water in the shower kept turning from hot to cold every few seconds, there is a plumbing issue. At first I thought it was many other guests using it at the same time but that was not the case as I took a shower twice at different times , for that reason alone I will not choose this option again. Also I ate dinner at the restaurant, Both my wife and I ordered fish and chips and maybe this was a poor choice but the fish was very salty and I ended up drinking water all night , everything else was fine. From what other guests ordered the presentation of the dishes was excellent, my wife is a professional chef and recognized and commented on this. For the mere fact that I had a most uncomfortable experience with a hot/cold shower it was not worth the price of the room, When you are bone chilled from the surf it is the most important factor to make the stay a memorable experience, hot water is a must. There was no "in room" coffee maker or coffee or tea like nearly all hotels I've ever booked , Gotta have coffee when the restaurant is not open

We felt very blessed to have found such a "gem" at the last minute to celebrate our anniversary!

Pros: We were celebrating our 23 anniversary. We loved our room with the ocean view and felt it was wonderful value. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to serve a drink from the bar when they said they had just closed. We ate at the restaurant for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Dinner was excellent!

Cons: We were concerned we would not be able to find parking but then a space opened up. It was late, we were in bed and we got a knock on the door that they had not closed a tab from a drink and coconut shrimp outside before we ate dinner in their restaurant and needed our credit card. We accommodated them while they ran down and charged our card and came back up for signature. We did not know why they didn't charge it to our room. We sat inside for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and we were surprised that such a nice place would use the restaurant as a "stock room" to stock extra supplies along the wall and on top of the bar for catering or special parties perhaps...not sure. It made the restaurant fell like we were eating in the back with the supplies.. not romantic with such an AMAZING view and location. We were told that breakfast was "awesome" as it was included. We found little breads and little muffins and cereal and boiled eggs. Not the breakfast we were expecting but we were Ok with it anyway.

Pros: The position right over the sea is the real (and only) added value.

Cons: The breakfast is terrible; no variety, very poor presentation, no care.

Pros: It had motel charm, with everything a bit worn, rusted and dated which gave it a bit of character. Also nice to have a cool salt water pool to dip in when it was hot. Lovely views.

Cons: No air conditioning which was a problem even with the coastal breeze. The pool is surrounded by people who are eating at the restaurant which can be awkward. Breakfast was very sad with few options. As a side note, the restaurant on site (which Im not reviewing here to be fair) was truly awful - spend your money elsewhere even if it means driving.

Pros: The location of the property was amazing, right next to the sea. The seating area was lovely, the pool nice and large and I liked the lighting outside at night. Beds were comfortable, breakfast tasty.

Cons: Would have been nice to have a hair dryer in the room, or to be able to open the window in the room facing the street.

Pros: Amazing views! Ocean waves while we slept. pool amazing...onsite restaurant was absolutely fantastic.

Cons: Dated rooms ..no air conditioning..bathrooms need serious renovations. Mold along window seals just needs a good scrubbing and please change the window shades they are stained yellow easy fix. Humidity in rooms despite being near ocean.

It was very relaxing. Just what we wanted.

Pros: Sits on a small bluff above the ocean with great ocean view. Easy walk on the beach. We ate dinner at the restaurant and food was delicious. Drifted off to sleep listening to the sound of the ocean. Breakfast buffet. What more could you want?

Cons: Could have been more up to date.

Cons: Nothing. Its an older facility but well maintained and a great place on the ocean.

Overall this was an excellent hotel. The view can't be beat. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: The view and location were excellent. The dinner at the restaurant was good although I did get a different side with my meal than what was listed on the menu and I wish they had let me know ahead of time that they were out of that side.

Cons: The continental breakfast was not very good. This could use a lot of improvement.

Amazing location

Pros: The setting on the beach is amazing and the courtyard with the nice pool and the restaurant is also great! The staff was eager to please. Definitely should try the banana Reef for dessert. Can't say enough about being right on the water. No beach, just surf crashing on the rocks.

Cons: The rooms are average at best with aging furniture. Continental breakfast was nothing special for the price of the room. Beds are kind of hard and the pillows we're not that good either. It's a little difficult to get to but it's definitely worth it if you want to stay on the ocean. For the price, you're paying for nothing but oceanside access because the amenities are not that great. It is the second time we stayed and we will stay again but I wanted to be honest about what you get. I'm not complaining. You are right on the water so room quality was easy to overlook.
