Pros: Location excellent. BED COMFORTABLE. Breakfast, good options with lots of fresh fruit. EXCELANT VIEWS OF CITY. NICE GYM. POOL WAS OPEN. Staff are friendly and helpful. Housekeeping gets A+ HOTEL IS SPOTLESS, STAFF IS CLEANING CONSTANTLY. WOULD STAY AGAIN

Cons: SHOWER HEADS NEED TO BE UPDATED AS THERE IS NO DOOR TO THE SHOWER, WHITCH WOULD BE FINE IF YOU WERNT FREEZING DO TO INEFECTIVE SHOWER HEAD. WE STAYED FOR 10 WOUNDERFUL DAYS. WITH ALL THE EXCERSIZE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & UPGRADE TO ROOM WITH A TUB & SHOWER

Pros: The hotel rooms did not match the photos in any way. Room was completely run down and needed several repairs. Room did not have a heater and later found out none of the rooms have a heater. Torn and dirty blankets were offered. Disgusting.

Cons: Staff at front desk were not courteous nor helpful. When asking for assistance non was provided. Would not recommend for anyone to stay here. DEFINITELY NOT EVEN CLOSE to a 4 Star hotel.

The price we pay is not the service we received

Pros: Very nice location, close to bars and restaurants

Cons: The staff. It took 45 minutes to bring up 2 towels, I personally asked to exchanged the towels at reception and the lady sent me back to my room, after that i called 2-3 more times to ask for the towels( we wanted to shower since we were coming back from the pool)after 40 minutes one of the male staff knocks on our door to give is 2 blankets( he was told to bring us blankets) I immediately called reception no answer, i called again, no answer. And to be honest the pool was not very clean. We both speak Spanish so there wasnt any confusion. At 8:30 am we were woken up by one of the male staff entering our room with out permission, clearly and invasion of privacy and we couldnt even rest or sleep after that. When our check out was at 12pm. I was very mad at this point, would not stay again due to your staff.

A nice stay if you are only expecting the basics

Pros: The hotel has a great rooftop with a good view of the city and the mountains. Food and drink is not too badly priced up there either. The staff were very nice and accomodating. Breakfast was okay. Rooms do the job.

Cons: Its very dated. Very very old. The heating didnt work in our room but they quickly provider us with a portable heater. We did not have a shower head either. The lift is also a nightmare and you never know if you are going up or down. There seem to be a very high number of staff and everywhere you go there is someone doing something (cleaning, fixing, changing rooms, delivering something) and it can make it hard to relax. TV is old and doesnt have any channels and is not a SMART. I also think its overpriced.

Cons: Parking wasn't free for guess. 120 pesos per night. I had stayed in other hotels in mx and never was charge for parking. Also, the room carpets are dirty, do not walk without aandals or shoes.

Decent hotel with a good location, excellent views and friendly, helpful staff.

Pros: Hotel Royal is perfectly located, with great city views and nice, large rooms. The staff is very helpful, and with the sauna, pool and fitness, there are plenty facilities. Fum bonus; they have ice and coolers available at every level, if you would like to cool something (like a bottle).

Cons: The hotel feels a bit dated, as if it was very fancy in the 1990s, but hasn't been greatly maintained since then. The cleanliness could also be a little bit better. This is noticeable in the rooms and e.g. in the pool.
