Kigali International Airport – KGL Rwanda
Formerly called Gregoire Kayibanda International Airport, Kigali International Airport is the main gateway for all destinations in the country. It is situated in the suburb of Kanombe in Kigali, Rwanda. Since the country is land-locked, it served as a major strategic point during the Rwandan Civil war. Although the airport served as the country’s main airport, it also holds great importance to its regional flights serving Uganda, Burundian, and Congo cities.
