InterCityHotels is a modern hotel chain under the Deutsche Hospitality management. Formerly known as Steigenberger Hotel Group, Deutsche Hospitality was founded in 1930. In mid-2009, the Egyptian travel and tourism company Travco Group acquired the mother company until the new name was publicly released in 2016. Despite that recent rebranding, the market caught on well with such change.
