The Ascend Hotel Collection is a unique brand from Choice hotels International featuring historic and boutique hotels and resorts. It bills itself as a pioneering ‘soft brand’ concept in the hotel industry. It currently has over 250 hotels under its portfolio and over 70 hotels in the pipeline all around the world. Its primary markets include the U.S., France, Norway, the U.K, Sweden, Caribbean region, Australia, Turkey, and Canada.

Thanks to the strategic alliance between Choice and vacation ownership company Bluegreen Vacations since 2013, Ascend Hotel Collection saw significant expansion in the years that followed, especially into the primary resort market. Several other locations are expected to open this 2019 in several U.S. markets such as Napa, California; Philadelphia; Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Long Island City, N.Y.

Among its latest additions to its portfolio of hotels as of this writing is the 133-room Beaufort Hotel located on Crystal Coast. This hotel offers spectacular views of Rachel Carlson Nature Reserve and Taylor Creek. It is under the management of North Carolina-based Concord Hospitality and owned by Beaufort Hospitality Enterprises, LLC.  Another new member of the brand is the Capitol Hotel in Hartford, Connecticut. This hotel, which just underwent renovation, offers stunning views of the State Capitol Building of Connecticut, after which Capitol Hotel is named.
