GroupeBarrière is a company operating hotels, casinos, restaurants and bars, thalassos and spas and golf courses across Switzerland, France and Europe. It was founded by François André in the year 1912 until 1951 while re-inventing Deauville and La Baule seaside resorts. He first started a casino business by gaining Ostend casino located in Belgium, while his partner Eugene Cornuche began creating Hotel Normandy, simultaneously rebuilding Deauville casino.
Now it is operating casinos in the Parisian suburbs namely Casino Barrièred’Enghien-les-Bains, and also Bordeaux, Deauville, Cassis, Nice Ruhlin France. In Switzerland at Fribourg and Courrendlin, it has managed casinos such as Casino Barrière de Montreux, not to mention one in Cairo, Egypt as well.
