Best Time to Travel

To experience everything Connecticut has to offer, there are some time frames you should consider. The weather in Connecticut is quite similar to that in New England. It should be noted that its nearness to the coast gives it a humid continental climate with four different seasons and a moderate amount of precipitation.

Summers can be hot, wet, and, in general, uncomfortable; thunderstorms are frequent too. Summer is a good time, most, especially if you are considering activities such as boating, hiking, or fishing. Visiting in the shoulder month of sometime around early June or September would give you the most pleasant weather condition. However, popular tourist spots will be crowded during the summer holiday, which is around July and the early weeks of August.
