Aksu Airport – AKU China
Aksu Aiport with code AKU is serving the city of Aksu, China. It is a city found in the autonomous region of Xinjiang. The airport is said to be the lone airport serving the area. Aksu is found in the north part of the Tarim Basin. Aksu means white water. The term Aksu can also refer to the nearby river that traverses the town. Business people are normally the ones using the airfield. Aside from commercial flights, it is also serving cargo aircraft that carry export products like cotton, fruits, beets, and cement. Aside from the airport, the town is also served the Southern Xinjian Railway.

AKU-Aksu Airport is located at the elevation of 3,816 feet above the sea level. The airport has only one runway measure about 7,874 ft by 148 ft. Some of the airlines that serve the airport include Air China, China Express Airlines, Loong Air, Shandong Airlines and West Air. Currently, all of these air carriers are only serving domestic flights.

Aksu Shangrila Hotel is 10 minutes away and considered to be a luxury hotel. It is one of the most expensive hotels in the area. The Altamira is also a wonderful hotel to stay, located in nearby Karakol.
