Poor

Very poor. Ridiculously expensive.

Pros: The lodge we stayed in was adequate. Ruis in the restaurant looked after us well the first night.

Cons: Written from the perspective of an international travelling family. Directions took us to the other location so we had to double back. The boat to the activities wouldnt go until 15 people were ready - there werent 15 people staying! We went in to the restaurant on our second evening to be told it wasnt open as it was too quiet. The local village dogs kept us awake all night. Reception didnt open until after 8am. This is not a resort by any international standards. (And, this is our problem to a large extent, but no one spoke English.)

Disappointing experience

Pros: beautiful lake and very quiet place it the middle of nature.

Cons: firstly before arriving we tried to call the resort a few times and the phone was never answered. in the end we could communicate via the chat function but I would have preferred (and expected) to be able to speak directly on the phone. Upon arrival have been told there was no reservation in our name and the staff didnt really try to resolve the situation. Only when I told them it was prepaid they decided to get on the phone and talk to the manager who confirmed there was a reservation but in another part of the resort. the staff then blamed us it was our fault to arrive at the wrong section though we navigated to the address our booking confirmation had inscribed. the streets leading to the cabins are in a very bad condition and pretty steep - can supposedly only be reached with SUV cars About the cabin: its very spacious but has a worn out look to it and the equipment is very basic. I would have expected a higher standard given the price. all in all disappointing experience in terms of staff and housing but beautiful location.

Cons: the shower was either freezing cold or boiling hot. at that price, that is unacceptable. also, the soap dispenser in the shower wouldn't stay closed. it kept flying open. and for that price, WiFi should be included!!! paying extra for that is outrageous.

Pros: Beautiful scenery, yet very short drive to Patzcuaro. The place is very calm. Staff is very nice.

Cons: No water service one one out of two days. We were unable to use the toilet, shower, etc. Zero comfort considering the high pricing. The address on booking.com is wrong and about 20 min away from the actual place. Hard to get there if you speak no Spanish. The phone number from booking.com did not work. Booking.com shows two bedrooms but it is only one while the other beds are basically in the living space.
