Better than the Elephant hotel but not by much.

Pros: We had a lovely room with a four post bed which was well furnished and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and very attentive we had a nice breakfast and the gentleman who served us could not have been better. There is a lively bar and it had nice atmosphere.

Cons: The bathroom is dated and covered in black mold. The bath is massive and the hot water system cant keep up so you cant run a hot bath, not that I wanted to die to the mold. The near by train line is noisy but cant be helped.

Cons: Room was very tired, grubby and very dusty. The sheets were clean but the beds weren't comfortable and even the safe front had fallen off and was just left.on the wardrobe floor. There was an incredibly loud noise coming from very close to our room. Luckily it went off overnight but we were woken up with a fright at 9am on Sunday. We weren't told we would need a code to get back into the hotel at night when we checked in, so had to call the emergency number. It was a very very basic hotel and was not worth the charge for one night.

Cons: Everything! Beds had springs popping out into our back, no hot water and no heating , extremely noisy from trains! I know it was a budget room but for the money I would have rather slept on the street.

Pros: Cheap. Cheap rooms are in an annex so quiet. There is a co-op right in front. I was allowed to leave my car from Fri to Sun.

Perfect place to stay near the Thames Path.

Pros: A very enjoyable stay. Staff really helpful. Room so comfortable and very clean. Ate in bar and food was well cooked, quick and hit the spot after a day of exercise. Perfect location for walking the Thames Path.
