    Don’t get fooled by the...

    Pros: It was close to the metro/train stations. And was also close to good restaurants and coffee shops.
    Cons: There were almost no facilities provided. There was no fridge, no slippers, no tooth paste, not enough towels, absolutely nothing but beds and a TV.

    Pros: This was a last-minute change so it served its purpose of a place to sleep. The location was good in the fact it was far enough from the city center to offer a quiet night's sleep, yet close enough to the metro and local restaurants to be enjoyable.
    Cons: In typical Paris style it was very small, with an even smaller fan and no a/c so it was quite stuffy for sleeping. We also didn't like the fact that you are required to leave the room key with the front desk anytime you leave the premises.

    Great for overnight and very convenient for Gare de Lyon.

    Pros: We needed a cheap but comfy overnight hotel in Paris that was convenient for Gare de Lyon in order to catch the first train out of Paris the next morning. In that context Hotel Zazie did us very nicely indeed. The room and ensuite were both small but clean, warm, comfortable and with everything you'd need for an overnight stop. Couple of nice touches like book shelf with old books. Hotel has lift. The night manager was very friendly and between my French and his English we did fine for checking in. We had to be gone the next morning before they started breakfast so can only comment that the eating area also looked clean and well appointed. Will definitely consider stopping there again if doing similar journey again in the future.
    Cons: Booking.com peppered my inbox with "review this hotel now" emails for the next 7 days - including one that arrived at 3 a.m. and woke me up. Not the fault of the hotel.
