A great location in a lovely hotel with added advantage of Spa facilities to help relax.

Pros: The location of the hotel is great. It is surrounded by great places to eat and visit, as well as 2 minutes walk from a Metro station to access wider areas. The walk to Notre Dame was no more than 10 minutes. The staff were so helpful and made us welcome.

Cons: We knew it would be more expensive to stay than normal (being the weekend of the Paris Marathon) - but that was the same as all other hotels, in fairness. Otherwise no negatives!

Pros: Fantastic location in the 5th Arrondissement just a minutes walk from the Metro station and one of the finest boulangeries, butchery, and fromageries in Paris , as well as several cafes. Hotel La Lanterne was an absolute gem and one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences we have ever had. The courteous and professional staff, nicely appointed guest rooms (we were in rm 53 it has not one but 2 small roof top patios) offered a beautiful respite from a hectic day out exploring beautiful Paris. There are several cafes and good places to eat directly next to or across from the hotel and there is also a great laundromat less than 150m away which we found very convenient. After a day that involves a lot of walking the spa pool and steam room was a welcome way to smooth aching and tired legs. The best thing about Hotel la Lanterne however was the friendly, courteous and extremely professional staff. Anais on the front desk was a genuine pleasure to with with and when we return to Paris on our next trip, we will be booking here again without question.

Pros: Very clean, great location for us

Cons: Very small gym (2 pieces of equipment) and very very hot due to being underground. Shower was sometimes very hot/cold without touching it!

Pros: Location very good for local shops and walking to le-de-France de Cite. Our suite was very clean and quiet and spacious. The bathroom facility and shower were superb. The breakfast option was quite gourmet and had so many different fresh and delicious and even hot options to choose from.

Cons: There was always only a single person available for questions; if another patron was sitting at the desk talking or checking in, for example, you would have to wait even to ask a quick question. Pool was nice but getting to it from our tower required the less than desirable walking through the main lobby (in a robe) (None of these things were major problems, just the most appropriate responses for dislike)
