The property is in a great location with the beach just steps away but very dated with obvious wear and tear.

Pros: The staff was exceptional. Everything was mostly clean except for around the indoor pool but theres only so much you can do with an open to the outside.

Cons: Throughout the night my kids complained of being bitten I thought they were itching from the ocean water . Pulled the covers back it was bugs on my kids !!!!! The staff acted as if they didnt care there was mold on the ceiling I provided them with pictures they told me they would investigate and give me a call

Once we got the room I paid for it was a lot better.

Cons: Everything! 1st I didn't get the room I booked, then I asked for an ocean view and it was a partial view but, that what they hotel consider a ocean view, I always get a suite because of my family size, so the room was to small, tub look dirty, room was not up to my standards, and them full size beds was the worst of all. They slept so bad we left a day early because we couldn't take another night on them beds. When I saw the room, I wanted to leave right then, but we went down for my son 7th birthday, so I wanted to stick it out for him. The hotel itself had an unpleasant smell, definitely in the stairwell, we had to take the stairs down to the pool area because the elevator was broke. I will never stay here again, not for the money I paid. And entering the water park took so long because they have a associate at the entrance checking to see if your are staying at the hotel even though they give you wristbands to get in, then you have to scan your room key for each person that is with you, So time consuming. They made me put my 1 y.o band on even tho he was too small to even get on the slides. I stayed at the Dunes for spring break with my kids and had an absolute time from the room to the water park. At all the amenity they had, it was nice. I can't complain and what I paid to stay at the landmark and what I play to stay at The Dunes was maybe 200 dollar difference so I know myself that I would never have booked that room knowing it look the way you did it. At The Dunes I paid for a 3 bedroom student, with ocean view, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, living area for 1200. Maybe the suites are better then what I stayed in, but please if you do double check your room.

Cons: The property was not clean and nothing was in order it was hard to use the elevator and find towels after using the pool also payed extra for the ocean view and I didn't feel that I have it they gave one room on the side which you can see the ocean but not in front of it.

Landmark Myrtle Beach

Pros: The room was spacious, and I loved the view. The waterslide was awesome. The beach was beautiful and my girls loved going to the pool.

Cons: I wish there was a pool area with the waterslide. The staff would not change the linens when requested. They gave you the linens, and you had to change it yourself. The lazy river needs a better filtration system for the sand that is brought in from the beach and more pull or force to keep people moving.

Really enjoyed myself

Pros: The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The outdoor pool and whirlpool was excellent.

Cons: The elevators need air conditioning. The indoor pool area needs to be brightened. The stairway leading to the indoor pool is dark, with raggedy carpet. Doesn't seem safe .

Pros: I didn't get the room that I thought I was getting it didn't have the full size refrigerator and it didn't face the beach but everything else was good my son liked the water slides and the splash pad and the short walk to the beach
