Very Poor
Pros: The staff were good. There were many security guards.
Cons: Everything! This is not a holiday spot, it is a residence. There were altercations outside our room all night .We needed security- unsafe. Floors were dirty, marijuana smell everywhere. Not as advertised. Located under a freeway, cant walk to much.

Avoid at all cost

Pros: Absolutely nothing, it was the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at.
Cons: The location and the surroundings are really sketchy. The hotel is basically a homeless shelter with a few security guards. We got followed by a homeless person as we were trying to get into the hotel. It did not feel safe at all. It also seems that some residents are doing drugs inside the hotel (we saw people carrying cannabis pipes and some rest of joints near our room). The room we stayed at was dirty and smelled awful. No room services. Our room card stopped working two days in a row. We ended up leaving earlier than planned as this hotel made our stay in LA quite unpleasant. I dont even understand how such a place can be booked on booking, it is definitely not a place for tourists to stay at.

Bad

Pros: Hello, I made a reservation in advance at this hotel, but they notified me on the day of check-in to cancel two hours before my stay. They said there was a problem with the water pipes, and there were no rooms available. Let's assume that's true. However, they still charged me around 200 dollars for the hotel, and the money was deducted from my card. I've sent emails to booking.com and Silverlake Hotel asking for a refund, but there's been no response. It seems like a place that steals money from tourists.

Disappointing
Pros: It was clean, beds were comfortable and the AC worked.
Cons: It's pretty run down on the outside. Hall lights flickered, stairwell grimy and paint peeling. Walking past a security guard and a homeless man in the lobby to find staff behind what appeared to be bullet-proof glass did not leave me feeling safe.

Do not stay here. Idk whats going on but this is not a good hotel to be at.

Pros: The only thing this property has going for itself is the location.
Cons: The room smelled of mold. The shower had mold in it. The curtains hadnt looked like they have been cleaned in years. The hotel really needs an upgrade it was quite literally falling apart. When outside you can see the building is literally falling apart. It looked like we jumped in time back to the 1950s and nothing was clean. There was a literally homeless encampment in the parking lot and some people who may or may not have been on drugs walking around. They claimed to have security 24/7 but we did not see security at night. It was so bad we gave up the money and decided to stay somewhere else. For how much it cost it was most definitely not worth the stay.

Pros: Location is ok, but a lot of homeless campments near by, some of them went inside hotel property. Not the safest spot for family with young children.
Cons: Dirty outside, homeless people went inside property, left bunch of items in elevator, so we had to take stairs to 5th floor.

Worst hotel stay ever

Pros: Nothing
Cons: There was domestic violence de next door. The security staff did little to remedy the situation and the staff was always asleep or not present at front desk. There are tons of guards because you have to watch for your safety coming here.

I took one look at the place promptly left and took my looses.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The pictures do not match the location, there are about 50 broken bicycles piled up in front of the hotel entrance. The place has a lot homeless around it and staying in the hotel. There are a lot of overzealous security guards at the front entrance and sitting around. The place does not feel safe.

Pros: They had multiple security staff
Cons: It was advertised as a 3 star but was definitely a 1 or 2 star hotel. Everything was broken. Everything. Pictures frames were taped together, doors were broken. Graffiti on the cabinets. Mold in all the corners.

stayed there four years agoits gone downhill since. wont try again

Pros: the location. the management seemed to keep an eye on the property w many cameras and security guards. unfortunately, this dynamic was unsettling and i felt watched and uncomfortable.
Cons: the hotel was very run down with many transients/unhoused staying there. it was so sketchy that i didnt feel safe and, in fact, checked out two days early (didnt sleep there).

Pros: It was functional
Cons: The quality did not match at all the reality of the hotel. The place looks rundown from the outside and is rundown on the inside? You know why? It's because it functions partially as a homeless shelter. I wouldnt care if it was cheap enough to reflect it.

Cons: It felt unsafe, unhealthy environment. It had holes in the roof that had been poorly patched and reeked of mildew with pinesole! We had to sleep with the window open and it was cold. I asked if the heater worked and he said yes,but it didnt work.
