Pros: The location is excellent. If youre traveling adults only you also get free drink at The Clevelander and use of their pool. They also provide beach towels and chairs which we would have taken advantage of but it rained. Friendly helpful staff

Pros: The suite was right in the heart of the action, spacious, and surprisingly quiet at night.

Cons: Housekeeping came in once a day, but didn't really seem to want to clean. I would just have them empty the trash and give me water bottles, but they never replaced towels or gave me extra soaps & shampoos.

Perfect for a staycation like me of a vacation!

Pros: I have always wanted to stay in a Miami Beach hotel. They've always been unique, cute, and made me feel like they were out of a movie. This hotel is no different. Originally built in 1938, the architecture was absolutely gorgeous and within walking distance of many tourist attractions, including the beach. The bed was comfortable, the tv and couch were perfect, and the garden was adorable. Staff was always professional and happy to help whenever I needed it. I was there for a film festival and it was perfect walking distance to the venue, as well as other points of interest like Versace Mansion and (if you're a movie buff) sets from various movies like Scarface and Bad Boys.

Cons: In order to get to my room, I had to go outside into the garden and walk up stairs to get to my room. After I checked in it was no big deal, but traveling up and down (especially when I went up the wrong stairway...oops...) with a suitcase and backpack was something I was not a happy camper about. Whoever built this hotel (no fault of the current staff) didn't realize that Florida weather tends to be unpredictable. This detail can't be helped since the hotel was built in 1938, and is just a nitpick on my end. Mind you, the hotel does have elevators! If you are unable to use stairs they are able to accommodate for you! I am able-bodied and CAN use stairs but if that weren't the case I am certain that they would have put me in a different room accessible by elevator! The only small thing I had an issue with was that there was a mini fridge but no microwave in the room. Not a huge deal. After all, when in Miami, one must try all different types of foods.

Cons: The hotel was overbooked when we tried to checkin and the lobby experience was poor. The hotel claimed to be 4 star but in reality is only 1 star at best based on lobby decor and overall guest experience. Location on south beach was the only plus point.

Cons: Bathroom in lobby did not have a door knob on the inside. Both myself and one of my guests in my party was LOCKED inside the bathroom. My guest didn't have her phone and had to bang on the door.
