About Destination Hotels By Hyatt Pasadena
Destination Hotels is the biggest independent hospitality management company in the country. The properties of this lodging management go beyond the typical urban locations with their mix of mountain, beach, and city branches. Headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, the chain was born in 1972 as Destination Hotels & Resorts. Their first building was The Gant in Aspen which is one of the first condominium resort properties in the United States that integrated contemporary hotel services like a concierge and front desk.
Destination Hotels is Lowe Hospitality Group’s (LHG) subsidiary. Lowe Enterprises is a real estate investment firm in Los Angeles which has more than $21 billion in assets. That affiliation has turned Destination Hotels into a powerhouse, not just for its unprecedented hospitality, but also for its development potential. In 2016, Destination Hotels consolidated with Commune Hotels. Since then, Destination Hotels grew. In 2018, Lowe Enterprises sold Two Roads Hospitality to Hyatt Hotels Corporation for more than $400 million. The Two Roads Hospitality is one of the hotels built from the merging of Destination Hotels and Commune Hotels. Now, Destination Hotels’ portfolio features 20 full-service spas, 20 golf courses, 6 IACC certified centers, and 110 bars and restaurants in different states. In total, there are 40 independent establishments under the hotel brand.
