This philosophy has still remained though the Gulf Hotel as been altered beyond recognition, constantly upgrading and expanding to meet the demands of the modern day guests and tourists.

Gulf Hotels Group added to their property the high class Gulf Convention Center in 1997 and in 2004 expanded its group outside Bahrain by opening the Ocean Paradise Resort in Zanzibar.
