About Swiss Quality Hotels Geneva Old Town
A non-profit organization, the Swiss Quality Hotels International is the largest hotel chain in Switzerland with 60 individually-run hotels in 40 different cities in the country as well as Germany. The Zurich-based company was founded in 1986 by Swiss and German hoteliers, growing to develop its own hotel classification system of four categories: Swiss Quality Excellence, Swiss Quality Superior, Swiss Quality Value, and Swiss Quality Economy. All the member hotels of the brand are three-star and four-star accommodations and many have been consistently recognized as part of Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice, Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence, and one of the 100 most welcoming hotels of Switzerland.
While Swiss Quality Hotels have been around for more than three decades, the company continues to see growth in sales and revenue. In 2018, the group saw an impressive 10 percent increase in sales compared to the previous year. It also marks the first year in its history that the company was able to exceed the 40 million mark. In the first four months of 2019, the trend continues with the sales increasing by 9.4 percent. Other notable achievements include the recognition of four Swiss Quality member hotels among the top 25 hotels in Switzerland for the year of 2018.
