About Remington Hotels Fort Worth Cultural District
Remington was established in 1968 and has now gained over 40 years of experience as an independent hotel provider and management company. Continuously thriving in the hospitality business, Remington also handles property management and condominium hotel management.
Remington’s was founded by Archie Bennett and opened his first hotel in the Holiday Inn Galveston, Texas. A few years after, the oil industry boomed in Texas and promoted the increase in demand for hotels. Remington developed its second hotel, now in downtown Houston with 600 rooms to boast. Remington started collaborating with Marriott Hotels in the same year and developed 10 Marriott properties. Remington became the largest franchisee during that period.
Fast forward to the 20th century, Remington started redeveloping Sea Turtle Inn hotel in Atlantic Beach, just outside Jacksonville. The hotel management company also became a Starwood Preferred Management for several big names in the hotel industry such as Aloft and Four Points by Sheraton. The company moved its office from Houston to Dallas, Texas in 2000. In 2015, Remington already manages over 90 hotels in 16 different brands across 27 states in America. In that year alone, Remington has already added 14 new hotels in its portfolio which includes 4 Marriott Hotels and 6 Hilton Hotels.
