Rota International Airport – ROP Rota Island
Rota International Airport is situated on the island of Rota in the Northern Mariana Islands. The airport is known also as Benjamin Taisacan Manglona Airport. It is a public airport owned by the Commonwealth Ports Authority. The Japanese build a runway during World War II, which was bombarded by the US. The 48TH US Naval Construction Battalion made the airfield operational from September to October 1945 after the Marines seized control of the island. It was then used as an emergency landing strip for Saipan and Tinian airfields. Today, three airlines operate in ROP Rota Island.

Rota International Airport covers 324 hectares of land and has a single cemented runway. The airport’s passenger terminal can only hold up to 100 passengers at any time.
