Lynden Pindling International Airport – NAS Nassau
Lynden Pindling International Airport used to be Nassau International Airport situated in Western Providence Island near Nassau, the capital city. It is the Bahamas’ largest international gateway and is operated by Nassau Airport Development Company. The airport traces its history from World War II in which it was first called the Windsor Field then became Royal Air Force Station. The name of the airport became official in 2006 in honor of Sir Lynden Oscar Pindling, the Father of the Nation. The airport continues to develop into a commercial airport serving routes making Bahamas accessible to the world.
