It started in 1987 where its initial portfolio was 100 rooms when Cresta Hospitality was given the management for Marakanelo hotels by the Botswana Development Corporation. CrestaMarakanelo is owned half-owned by the government of Botswana through that corporation and TA Botswana by the Botswana Development Company. Now, it is now managing over 1000 rooms, accommodating guests worldwide.
