Chiang Mai International Airport– CNX Chiang Mai
Located in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Chiang Mai International Airport is the fourth busiest and second largest in the country. It is a major gateway to Northern Thailand and the main air hub that links it to Laos, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok, Samui, Phuket, and southern China. Originally established as Suthep Airport in 1921, it served as the alternative stopover for China Airlines and Swiss International Airlines during the temporary closure of Suvarnabhumi Airport due to protests in 2008. It became a secondary hub for Thai AirAsia on January 24, 2011.

The CNX-Chiang Mai International Airport serves six domestic and seven international airlines, with over 15,000 flights and more than two million passengers a year. It has two conjoined terminal buildings – one for domestic and one for international flights. Arrivals for both buildings are on the ground floor, while departures are on the second. Fast food joints, coffee shops, a restaurant, and a sports bar can be found on the second floor of the domestic terminal, while money exchange counters, ATM machines, tourist desks, travel agents, and car rental services are on the ground floor of both buildings. The airport is ideal for anyone headed to Ban Don Chan, Su Thep, Mae Hia, and Pa Sang.
